Jason Paul Tecson
Invited by Sana Gallery to exhibit in Singapore, Jason Paul Tecson is a Philipino artist currently living and working in Philippines.
Born in 1982 in Quezon City, Philippines. He studied Fine Arts at the Far Eastern University, Manila. His works were featured at collective and solo exhibits in Philippines and Singapore.

industrial materials - or simply utilizing what is available – raised or sunken patterns: texture that creates the kind of surface Tecson is aiming for. Usually these surfaces resemble a somewhat vile, crude and interesting form– like charred remains involving trauma, tumult, and contemplation of existence.
Tecson shares, “The current works for the show has a more fragmented and abstract feel compared to my past works, and I think references to some genres that I’m interested in, such as classical sculpture to primitive tribal masks to contemporary pop culture/media. I focused more on making simpler forms that are both strange yet recognizable”.
