All good things must come to an end and so does the physical presence of Sana Gallery in Singapore. Because our principals are relocating to Europe, Sana Gallery will close its physical space in March of this year, and become a pop-up gallery until we re-open in Europe.
Our contact details however and our website remain the same.
It has been an enormous pleasure and a privilege to work with all of you. We are very grateful to your support in our mission to showcase a different image of the Middle East from the wrenching television pictures of blood and gore all of us are assaulted with on a daily basis. "Sublimed Elsewhere's" is a sublimed vision of an "elsewhere" which exists across current societies living between contemporaneity and tradition which struggles against globalisation.
It questions our future as it also looks at a world in constant turmoil.

From Tunisia through Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait and Yemen, I Read, I Write: The Photographs of Laura Boushnak explores the relationship between female literacy, happiness and development in the Arab world.
Opening June 19 at the National University of Singapores Middle East Institute, I Read, I Write draws together a selection of nearly five years of artist Laura Boushnaks contemporary portrait photography, and demonstrates her on-going interest in Arab womens place in society.

In the early phase of his career (1982-1984), Raouf Rifai’s work was preoccupied with the environment, nature and light. From 1985, tradition, especially folklore and folk characters, emerged as a recurring theme in his work. In 1995, he spent 3 years exploring, through his art, the history of his country, Lebanon, before coming back to an environmental theme from 1999 to 2007. Rifai introduced the Darwiche as the point of departure for his art in 2008.
Rifai’s work is influenced by several artistic styles including Impressionism and Expressionism. Throughout Rifai’s body of work, 3 themes are intertwined: pollution (physical and spiritual), social relationships...

“Sana” means splendour in Arabic and that’s what we want to bring to Asia: Outstanding Middle Eastern Contemporary Art by exceptional young artists from the Middle East region. Sana Gallery is a Pan-Asia online platform for Middle Eastern art.
Our private collection is housed at Sana Fine Arts, 12 Blair Road, Singapore, a 3-story house spectacularly restored in the 1980’s to its look and feel when originally built in the 1930’s.
